Christmas Eggs

I usually try to post something twice a month, at least, that I  have done with Copics on Scrapbook  pages or Cards.  Well, I have not been able to do anything for a while so I am going to show you my Christmas eggs from years ago.  These are done with Acrylics and sealed with high gloss.  Will try and get a project up in the next few days. 

Little Owls Made with CTMH paper and a Fiskars Punch

I saw these little owls in a Crate&Barrel catalog and thought they were so cute.  They were made of fabric and sold for $23.95 for 3.  I copied them with paper and used the Fiskars Chrstmas light bulb punch for the nose.  I double punched the nose with orange and yellow card stock to give it a layered look.  The paper is a sample pack from Close To My Heart. 

Christmas Card done with Fluorescent Copics

Fluorescent copics, CTMH stamp set.  This is the first time I have used these in a while.  I like how bright they are.  I will use them more often. 

Tannenbaum Card from Close To My Heart

I got this set of stamps from my wonderful friend Beth.  This is Tannenbaum from CTMH.  It is a nice one for masking because the inside of the tree is easy to cut.  I stamped the tree seven times on this card and then stamped it again on some card stock and only colored in the card stock.  Then cut out the colored portion of the tree and glued them into the spots.  Easy and fun.  Copics to color the trees.  Love how simple it is and yet very nice. 

Halloween Tag

This tag was made with little CTMH tags and some torn paper.  I used the cuttlebug folder for the web and some Tim Holtz distress ink for coloring

Nasturtium Plant

This is a little card I made after watching someone do it on TV.  It was so cute, I had to hurry and make it.  I am thinking the mans name was Michael Stone but I am not sure.  On Carroll Duvalls show, I think.  Years ago but love the card forever.

These are just for fun.  I never know where the next line is going or what markers I am going to pick up but I feel it is hard to make a mistake with art.

Capt. Jack Page

This is a page inspired by Katie Poeticgarden.  She talked about her glue gun and it made me want to get mine out.  The poor thing has never been used and I had a fear of even turning it on.  I did not know what setting to put it on or what type of glue sticks to use.  It was just taking up space.  I love seeing her beautiful pages and she is very good, I mean great, at what she does.

This is the CTMH Stamp of the Month for July.  Happy Forever.  These little Hedgehogs are pretty sweet.  I doodled the border.  Border, Kite and balloons are BV02, YR00 and RV95,

Snow Men in Arizona - Warmest Wishes - NOT!

This is an 8.5 X 11. I was having so much fun with the snow because it was 110 yesterday in Arizona.  The guys are colored with copics C3, C1 and BG10.  From Suzanne's White lesson.  I used some of the wide tip markers for the background and just poured some blending solution on the paper and let it dry.  I think it gave it a cloudy effect.  I found a piece of bark outside on the floor and loved it.  So that is the fence.  I used some Glistening Snow Writer to put snow on the fence. 

Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink

This is another card I did with the same Ink as the last card.  I just love the stencil look of the flowers. It is so easy to get the random look.  You can turn the inked paper around to see what is the best look for your punched out leaves.

This is a card I saw in the CardMaker Magazine, Sept. issue.  I thought it was beautiful and I have those colors so here is my version.  Tim Holtz inks are amazing.

Strawberries from Close To My Heart

This is a CTMH stamp that comes in a wonderful set full of fruit.  This is my homework for the green lesson, video nine.  I love the strawberries in this set. 

Wedding Card. Tilda and Edwin.

These are elements of my Copic class.  The bride and groom, are from the black and white video.  I used I used all C copics for the plus BG10.  The Bears are CTMH stamps and they were for my fur practice.  I am about halfway done with class 2 and looking forward to class 3 and 4.

This is my homework from Copic Class Level 2.  I am working on coloring black.  This was just the boots, that I was coloring for class.  I used C9, 5, 3 and 1. 

Doodles and more Doodles

This is just doodles with my newest Grandson in the center.  I love the Copic Multiliners.  You can doodle and color right away.   No waiting time to dry and no bleed through. 

Corrected color shift.

This is the same one I posted the other day, but I noticed it has a blue color cast so this is the same one with the color cast pulled out.  Sorry about that, but Thank goodness for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.

Homework from the white class.

This is the homeowrk for my White class.  The colors I used to do the frosting is BG10, C1 and C3. 

Happy 4th of July---Be Safe, Don't drink and Drive

This is the first stamp I colored with the copics.

I knew I was hooked after coloring this one.  This was way back in Feb.  I only had a few colors but this was the way I always pictured this stamp looking.  I had stamped it before and tried my Prismacolor pencils but I was not as happy as the copics.  Thanks Linda and Beth for making my scrapbook life for fun.  BTW, don't get me wrong, I love my pencils, but this is what I was looking for.

With Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink and the blending tool it is exciting to see what colors you are going to come up with.  I love making my own background paper.  Since I do not get out much.  I have my autistic son that keeps me close to home so making my own paper is perfect. I just take a felt pad,  place 3 drops of different colored ink on the pad and pat my paper.  Every one is so different.  I will post some others I have made in my next post.

What good is a greeting card without the envelope. All my scrap buddies know how much I love envelopes. They are just as important as the card. You have to leave a good first impression when you work so hard on your greeting cards. I have 2 Martha Stewart Scor boards on my desk. I love working on them. I use one side to hold my stamped images while I use the other side to scor my paper. The great thing about making your own envelopes is the inside can be decorated. You can add beads or crystals before you seal the side. You can add some matching paper to the inside flap and glue it down to the upper flap on the envelope. Do NOT glue the bottom of the paper though. Just let it tuck down into the envelope. Then when you open and close the envelope, the paper moves right with the top flap. I know you are thinking they take up too much room, but they do not. You can place a Fiskars double sided craft mat right on top of them. The built in rulers make it an ideal place to work on your projects.

This stamp set is so nice.  Comes with cherries too.  I used copic markers to color in the fruit and to color in the embossed areas of the cardstock.  Also CTMH.  I used this set as my very first post on this blog.  I really love it. It looks so real.  A great one if you are just starting out with the copics.

Love Tag

This tag is an A2 tag from a Making Memories template.  It is larger than 4X5 and really a fun size to work with.  I cut the slit for the ribbon with the Cuttlebug die that came with ax Alphabet set.  It is a long tag die and all I did was use the very end of the die to just punch out a slit in the paper.  Once I heard the cuttlebug machine pop, I pulled the paper back out.  I punched 6 slits at a time so I would remember where to place the die so they would line up.  I ran one piece through the cuttlebug again with the leave embossing folder.  Then colored in the raised areas with Copics, E 51 for the stem and G21 and 24 for the leaves.  I used the jar of Copic white for the tips of the leaves.  The front side is one of my favorite Tilda's from Magnolia. I doodled in the floor, the brick wall and the framed in flowers.  The butterfly punch is a Martha Stewart. I use a few Spica atyou pens for the wings.  It is so much nicer than a glitter pen.  It is glass particles and the reflection is so nice on the paper.

This Tilda makes me feel cool, even here in Arizona where it is over 100 on a nice day. I used Copic Markers with her and also doodled in a sidewalk and some drips on her shirt. To draw in the sidewalk I used a 0.05 Copic Multiliner. (Love the Multiliners). They are nice pigment Ink and Water & Copic proof so they are perfect for drawing little items on your cards. Just be sure to match the same width as the stamp you are using. I did use a 0.03 Multiliner to draw in the cracks in the sidewalk. I wanted them to be thinner, but usually I stick to one side pen. I also did the drips on her shirt with the 0.03 because I want the drips to be more about the ice cream color. Ok, back to the coloring. The sidewalk is C1, C2 and C4. I blended it out with C0. I also used the Olive Multiliner to draw in some grass growing thru the cracks in the sidewalk. I was able to cut her out with a loose area of white and fill in the background on her with G21 and G24. The match to the paper was perfect. By the way, my Copic Teacher, Suzanne J. Dean, was able to tell me the exact match on the colors just by looking at the paper. She is my hero! The bling in some misc. stuff I had and the heart pins have some seed beads on that I had in my bead box. Anyway, I love to look at this card now that it is Summer.

Off the edge. Happy Birthday

This card was my first attempt to to have the stamped image go off the page.  I used a CTMH set of stamps and some Pearl Ex Watercolor CD series by Jacuard ( Dark Peach ) to color in the the body parts.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink for the edges.

World's Best Dad

This card and envelope are framed in with a Copic Wide marker B32.  I used the Close To My Heart stamp set.  Even comes with the fishing pole that I used for a border on the card.  I just love the grungy look of the wide markers.  Fish are colored in Prismacolor pencils.  The copics go right over the pencil and do not ruin the pencil work.

Favorite Family Portrait

One of my favorite family portraits.  This was on a self timer and it never went off.  So...after a minute everyone was trying to figure out why and stopped looking at the camera.   Well, you know it, it went off.  I am on my way back to the camera to see what is wrong and everyone else is in deep conversation.    Anyway, I love to use the wide Copic markers for a border.  I just rock and roll them along the edges and it gives the cards that perfect grungy look.

Father's Day Card

This is one week of blogging, I am still really trying to learn how to do it, but I am still able to post as I go. This card was made around this time of year for Father's Day.  My inspiration was a big piece of Bark that fell at my feet from our Palm tree.  I thought it was so beautiful, I took it inside and sewed it to a card.  I sewed all along the edges with my $40 sewing machine.  This little Janome, Sew mini, has 4 stitches and I used them all on this cardstock. I stamped on the piece of Copper with the StazOn and embossed the design for the 3-D look.  Then after I had the card the way I wanted it, I took some Distress Ink and went over all the edges.  Gave it the manly look.  Thanks for looking.

Tilda Painting Egg with Pearl Border

This Tilda Painting Egg was my Easter project but the leaf punch from Martha Stewart was a fun element to work on. After punching out the leaves, I took an E copic marker and went all along the border of the leaf and then with my embossing tool made some veins in each leaf.  I then colored in the veins with G20, G21 and G24.

Copic Hair Color Homework learning Black

This was my hair color practice homework.  The inside of the card has more colors.  I seem to go for the brown colors on the right to match my family.   The black and the blonde hair looks so cute also with the copics.  It is really a fun way to work with your stamps.  Try our the markers I have used and leave a highlight area where you feel the light will hit her hair.

I really have to thank Suzanne J. Dean for her wonderful online copic class.  If anyone is wanting to learn how to use these markers, and you want more that just 2 hours in a scrapbook book store, she is one to learn from.  She ha an entire set of videos for you to learn from and watch over and over again.  I can not thank her enough for the dedication to her class.  She is a wonderful teacher.

Living Lace with Ribbon Card

I saw this stamp on 123 stitch and fell in love with the lace part.  I am not the girly girl type but this stamp looked like it would be fun to try.  I used mostly E 51, and all the BVs I have.  I have some ribbon behind the cardstock and some CTMH paper behind the lace.  This is one I want to try a few times so you might see this one again in the near future.

Prom Queen Tilda

This is Prom Queen Tilda.  I use R24, R22 and R20 on her dress.  I makde the bench with just a .5 multiliner pen and a W2 copic.  She is framed in with the Deckle edge Nestabilities from Spellbinders.  I have some pearls going around her neck from my misc. drawer and some little jewels on her shoes and crown.  I wish I would have used a darker copic marker for the shadows on this one.  I love BV25.  I think shadows are so important.  If you add them and they are illusive they are even better.  I love these little Tilda's and my grandson says, "No nose, no mouth."  He is 5 and knows all about Tilda.  Now I have to teach him about Edwin.

Fairy Tale Door Hanger

This is the Fairy Tale Tilda's from Magnolia.  I used the Copic markers to match the flowers this time.  R30, R32, R35 and R37.  I also used the atyou Spica pens to her head band.  I used the Blossom, number 14 pen and the clear on the wings.  Oh yes the gold is on the Frogs crown.  I used my slice machine to make the swils and I drew the green leaves and colored the stem with the olive multiliner from Copic.  I added some butterflies with a punch and used the souffle pens from Sakura to add the dots to the butterflies.  The ltittle dots all over her wings are a Copic .03 multiliner pen.

This little Garden Chair is colored with E59, E44, and E27.  I left alot uncolored and used the 0 blender to fill in the color.

SHABBY CHIC FENCE Magnolia Rubber Stamp Shabby Chic Collection

This little Fence is so cute.  It makes me feel like going out to my garden.  Those of you who know me, know I love my garden.  This is colored with copic markers C2, C3, W2 and for the rust in the nails and some of the drips from the nails I used E18.  The grass is my all time favorite combo of G20, G21, G24, G07 and G28.  I used the Curved Rectangles Nestabilities to frame this little fence in.

Potting Bench with Doodles.

This is trying again with some doodles around it.  I think I liked the first one better.  I drew the letters and the tree on top and added some grass.  The flowers were a stamp but I drew a few more stamps to fill in the blanks.

This is Princess Tilda colored with BG01, BG02, BG1o and BG15.  I also used 2 Martha Stewart punches ( Garden Trellis and frond) and some yellow Chandelier branches by Magnolia.

Countdown to Evie's Birthday, My Boss will be 3

Evie helps me type so all my mistakes are not my fault.  LOL.  She is the boss around here.  She always says, "Grandma, give me a hug." I could not have a better boss. 

Copics used for Fruitful Delight

The copics for the Pear are, YG13, Y11, YR21, Y00, E35 and YG99.  For the Apple I use R59, R39 and R02.  I also used the blender pen 0 for filling in the are in the center of the fruit that did not get any color.  Leaving it white for a highlight.  For the strawberries I wanted more of an orangish red.  I used R8, R5 and Ro1 for the highlights.  And G21, G24 and YG99 for the leaves.

I love her big spoon that you can mix with any food to create a cute card. I used Copic markers to color them in. On the morning of Feb.3rd I had not heard of Copic markers, but one of my crop mates, Linda brought 4 over that night to my once a month crop and I was hooked.
