What good is a greeting card without the envelope. All my scrap buddies know how much I love envelopes. They are just as important as the card. You have to leave a good first impression when you work so hard on your greeting cards. I have 2 Martha Stewart Scor boards on my desk. I love working on them. I use one side to hold my stamped images while I use the other side to scor my paper. The great thing about making your own envelopes is the inside can be decorated. You can add beads or crystals before you seal the side. You can add some matching paper to the inside flap and glue it down to the upper flap on the envelope. Do NOT glue the bottom of the paper though. Just let it tuck down into the envelope. Then when you open and close the envelope, the paper moves right with the top flap. I know you are thinking they take up too much room, but they do not. You can place a Fiskars double sided craft mat right on top of them. The built in rulers make it an ideal place to work on your projects.

Tilda Painting Egg with Pearl Border

This Tilda Painting Egg was my Easter project but the leaf punch from Martha Stewart was a fun element to work on. After punching out the leaves, I took an E copic marker and went all along the border of the leaf and then with my embossing tool made some veins in each leaf.  I then colored in the veins with G20, G21 and G24.

Copic Hair Color Homework learning Black

This was my hair color practice homework.  The inside of the card has more colors.  I seem to go for the brown colors on the right to match my family.   The black and the blonde hair looks so cute also with the copics.  It is really a fun way to work with your stamps.  Try our the markers I have used and leave a highlight area where you feel the light will hit her hair. 

Fairy Tale Door Hanger

This is the Fairy Tale Tilda's from Magnolia.  I used the Copic markers to match the flowers this time.  R30, R32, R35 and R37.  I also used the atyou Spica pens to her head band.  I used the Blossom, number 14 pen and the clear on the wings.  Oh yes the gold is on the Frogs crown.  I used my slice machine to make the swils and I drew the green leaves and colored the stem with the olive multiliner from Copic.  I added some butterflies with a punch and used the souffle pens from Sakura to add the dots to the butterflies.  The ltittle dots all over her wings are a Copic .03 multiliner pen.
